Weight Watchers - Introducing Geraldine Flanagan

Introducing our weight management guest blogger Geraldine Flanagan, here are her tips for getting 2018 off to a good start! 

Hi and a Happy New Year to you all.  Its that time of year when we make new resolutions e.g. to get fitter, be healthier and lose some weight.We want to be the best version of ourselves.

After all the celebrating and extra indulgence of Christmas and the New Year, we are ready, willing and committed to getting started. 

I work as a coach with Weight Watchers for the past 16 years having lost 3 stone with them.  My goal when I joined was to wear my jeans that fitted me before I gained my weight (I had 3 babies in 2.5years).  I tried my jeans on every few weeks to see how much progress I was making.  Initially they made it to my knees, then they slowly went the whole way up (lying on the bed).  When I was finally able to put them on and enjoy wearing them, it was the best feeling.  Appreciating and enjoying our progress as we make the necessary changes is very important. 

I know we would like to try and change everything as fast as we can, but its important to make small sustainable changes as we progress rather than looking for perfection.  Small changes bring the biggest results.

With Weight Watchers I found the support, motivation and a program that fitted my busy lifestyle.  As a mum to 3 young children a diet was something I couldn’t consider.  The Weight Watchers program allowed me to make sustainable lifestyle changes to lose my weight and maintain the weight loss.  Currently we are launching our most flexible program ever with more choice and freedom called Flex.

 If you are up for a challenge, we are offering 4 free weeks if you lose 10lbs in 8weeks (T&C’s Apply) Opt in before 27th January.  My classes are in the Ardboyne Hotel every Thursday 12.45pm, 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.45pm is a Men Only class.  My colleague Linda also does classes in the Ardboyne Hotel on a Thursday at 8am, 9.30am & 10.45am and on a Saturday in Navan O’Mahony’s at 9.30 & 11am.
